Virtual Show (WSD 16.04)


  • A Permit is required when hosting a nationally sanctioned WSDAC show that is not affiliated with a chapter.
  • Recognized Regional Chapters that hold shows are automatically eligible to be sanctioned with WSDAC provided the requirements in WSD 16.04 are met.
  • Chapters must inform WSDAC of the details of the show. WSDAC will review and issue a Show Number.
  • WSDAC Sanctioned Shows:  Competition applications must be submitted, approved, and paid for in full 14 days prior to the closing date of the competition.  Only sanctioned competitions approved by WSDAC are eligible to count for WSDAC National awards.

Rider Dispensation Application


  • An application must be submitted for approval along with supporting medical documentation 
  •  This documentation will be treated as confidential and will only be viewed by the Board of Directors. Once supporting documentation is received, your application will be reviewed by the WSDAC Board of Directors and a response will be sent to you within one week. If your application has been approved, then a copy of the Dispensation Certificate will also be emailed to you at this time.

Requirements to sanction a show (as per Rulebook Section WSD 16.03)


a) Must be judged by a WSDAC Judge (see Rulebook WSD 15 for details on Judges)

b) All breeds must be permitted to show

c) WSDAC rules and tests must be used

Sanctioning Fee: $25 CDN per show
Guest Judge Cards (if required): $25 CDN per competition per judge

Note: Applicable fees will be invoiced after final approval of the application

TYPES OF SANCTIONED SHOWS

Chapter Show (WSD 16.03 2a)

  • Chapters must inform WSDAC of the details of the show. WSDAC will review and issue a Show Number.
  • WSDAC Sanctioned Shows:  Competition applications must be submitted, approved, and paid for in full 14 days prior to the closing date of the competition.  Only sanctioned competitions approved by WSDAC are eligible to count for WSDAC National awards.

Sanctioning Fee: No cost for recognized WSDAC Chapters
Guest Judge Cards (if required): $25 CDN per competition per judge

Note: Applicable fees will be invoiced after final approval of the application

RESULTS SUBMISSION BY SHOW ORGANIZERS TO WSDAC


​All Sanctioned Shows (Chapter and Permit - see below) must use the below Results Submission Document to report scores to WSDAC within 7 days of the show

Permit Show (WSD 16.03 2b)

  • Show organizers must submit an application to WSDAC for approval.
  • Once approved there is a nominal fee payable to WSDAC to sanction the show. Once paid the show will be issued a permit and Show number
  • WSDAC Sanctioned Shows:  Competition applications must be submitted, approved, and paid for in full 14 days prior to the closing date of the competition.  Only sanctioned competitions approved by WSDAC are eligible to count for WSDAC National awards.

GUEST JUDGE CARDS (Not applicable to Virtual Shows)

Note: WSDAC has a Guest Judge Card available with requirements as detailed in the Rulebook Section WSD 15.02 1c

1) Guest Judge Cards will be issued on a per competition basis 

2) To qualify for a guest card individuals must hold a current dressage judging card with any of the following:

FEI, USEF, USDF “L”, Equine Canada, or a Provincial Level card.

3) Guest cards are unlimited


Cost per Guest Judge Card is $25 CDN per competition per judge

If you require a Guest Card for your Judge please include the appropriate information and WSDAC will review both Show and Guest Card information together.
